Many voters have asked all the North Enfield
candidates whether they would support Caroline Lucas’s bill to outlaw the ‘Mayfair
loophole’ – a tax concession for private equity bosses that reduces their
tax rate to 28%, and sometimes much less.
I’ve been happy to tell them I would. Oddly, I’m
told that none of the other candidates have even answered!
